Welcome, and site news
A warm welcome to all to this April 2014 edition of "On Shed", the monthly magazine of "Steam Tube - The Home of Steam On The Net!"
The usual features are here...and what an excellent selection of photographs and videos you, our valued and appreciated members, have favoured us with!
Interesting news on the new build front, especially from the "Hengist Project", who had an exciting announcement this past week.....
If you were to conduct a poll on the top railway engineer, who would top your list?
Well, we have reached "C" in our alphabetical list of pre-eminent railway engineers...
Would Kenneth Cantlie feature in your list?
Spring is now with us (officially!), so now we can get out and about to our local heritage sites, and give them our full support..
And Friday 4th April 2014 cannot come soon enough for those so badly affected by the Dawlish sea wall collapse. Hats off to Network Rails engineers......
Hopefully, happier times ahead.
