Goat Sheds
Mens Shed made a strong presence at G.O.A.T.S Music Festival at Integral Energy Koala Park San Remo.
The Mobile Men’s Shed was deployed adjacent to the San Remo Men’s Shed Stall. An excellent display of carpentry items and art objects decorated the stands along with brochures for the Shed and information on men’s health.
During the day 35 tissue box projects were assembled by kids from the age of three to senior years, boys and girls, men and women. Some of the kits were even purchased for assembly at home.
With no grant funding available to cover community engagement activity for this event each kit was charged at $2.00 each. Construction activity was popular throughout the day till about 2pm when most of the crowd moved to the entertainment stages.
Many thanks to George C for towing the trailer from Tuggerah to San Remo and then enthusiastically manning the San Remo stall throughout the day. George W and Glenn Spain did an excellent joy dealing with enquiries about the shed, items for sale and the role of sheds in mens health.
