A warm welcome to this, the September 2014 issue of "On Shed".
The usual features are to be found here.... with highlights of both video and photograph uploads..(keep them coming!!)..
And whilst on the subject, please remember to obtain all images legally...i.e., no trespassing, no inappropriate line siding... and obtain the relevant permissions from property owners where needed. Network Rail include some guidelines HERE
The reaon for this reminder is illustrated in the letter broadcast to members of the Stratford & Midland Junction Railway site, following a complaint.....
"A reminder!
Dear SMJ Society member
I am writing to you to inform you that we have received a complaint about photos of the brickyard quarry near Towcester, obtained illegally through trespass.
As co-owner and editor of the website and society, I am writing to you to remind you that the SMJ Society does not promote nor condone trespass and if we receive a complaint about images being obtained illegally through trespass, we will consider it our duty to take action and remove them. Our society is a small, free to join society whose intention is to bring together like minded people to promote, document and retain the memory of The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway, legally, peacefully and without offence.
Im sure that you all will bear this in mind on your next photographic trip along the line.
Yours
Andy Thompson
Co-Owner, Editor, IT Manager of The SMJ Society
